Co-Parenting Through Addiction: Smart Start Expert Shares Strategies for Stability and Accountability

TalkingParents and Smart Start team up for a National Recovery Month webinar to help co-parents create stability, accountability, and healthier communication during recovery.

Free Virtual Event “Co-Parenting Through Addiction: Smart Start Expert Shares Strategies for Stability and Accountability” featuring Shelly Schultz, Portable Alcohol Monitoring Program Manager, Smart Start - Co-Parenting & Coffee

In honor of National Recovery Month, Shelly Schultz, Portable Alcohol Monitoring Program Manager at Smart Start, is joining leading co-parenting service, TalkingParents, for a Co-Parenting & Coffee webinar in September.

The webinar, “Navigating Your Ex’s Recovery Journey: A Co-Parenting Guide,” will be a live interview and Q&A session designed to help co-parents navigate situations where addiction and recovery affect family dynamics.

In this presentation, Schultz will share insights from both her professional expertise and personal experience. The discussion will include strategies for establishing healthy boundaries, building reliable family structures, protecting children from conflict, and navigating the complexities that can arise when addiction is part of the co-parenting relationship.

Addiction can create uncertainty that affects every part of family life, especially for children. When co-parents are facing this struggle, clear boundaries, accountability, and consistent communication are even more important. That structure helps reduce conflict, create stability, and give children the security they need to move forward.
